President Elect on Climate

Yesterday, news stations and social media platforms broadcasted all over the country that Joe Biden has become the President Elect. What does this mean for our climate? If his climate plan is any indication, good things. We’ve compiled a list of some of his plans for the next four years.

  1. Permanently protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, which was recently under attack from the Trump Administration who wanted to allow oil drilling there
  2. Conserve 30% of America’s lands and waters by 2030
  3. Require public companies to give climate risks and greenhouse gas emissions
  4. Require stricter methane pollution limits for oil gas operations
  5. Re-enter Paris Climate Agreement

These are only a few of the many plans he has for making the United States greener. Want to know what other plans he has? Click here, here and here and you’ll find his full plan for climate change but also where he stands on other issues.
