Last week our Sayre Chapter held their first meeting of the 2021-2022 school year for a record turn out of 51 students. During lunch, members gathered in Sayre’s KUA to learn about what KEAP does and Sayre’s planned projects for the year.
KEAP co-founder and Sayre Chapter co-leader Colin Miedler discussed open club positions, projects such as the 24 Hours of Reality Challenge (where members can give a presentation on climate change to lower school and middle school students) and monthly letter writing, and Sayre’s three committees : Recycling Committee,Political Committee, and Composting Committee. We ended the meeting by splitting members into groups and coming up with project ideas for each committee.
