California Fires

People all over the United States feel the growing consequences of climate change but California takes the cake when it comes to having the most severe effects. It feels as though they have been on fire for months and the country has taken notice. While firefighters made progress against the Kincade fire and the Getty fire, another fire called the Easy fire broke out in Ventura.

Evacuations and attempts to contain these fires have been put into effect but the Santa Ana winds and dry climate have lessened California’s efforts. No one is untouched from this crisis which has affected thousands of people, burned tens of thousands of acres all over California, and even caused households all over to lose their power for days.

Right now we can only hope that firefighters manage to keep all the fires at least 60% contained but if there’s anything you can do to support the families that have been displaced to new homes or shelters do it. It is hard times like these that we have to be there for other Americans.
